How to Start with Apple Pay

  • First, download the app from the Apple Store or check to see if it is already installed on your phone.
  • Open the Wallet app.
  • Tap the”+” sign in the upper-right corner and follow the on screen prompts.
  • If your card is currently affiliated with an iTunes account, you may enter that card’s security code to add it.

To use Apple Pay in stores:

  • Look for the contactless and Apple Pay symbol at the register.
  • Hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID
  • Keep your phone by the contactless reader until it vibrates and beeps indicating your payment was accepted
  • Make your Carver card your default payment card for Apple Pay today - Just go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay, tap on Default Card and select your Carver card.

In participating apps, checking out is as easy as selecting Apple Pay and placing your finger on Touch ID.

To use Google Pay in stores:

  • Look for the contactless symbol at the register
  • Unlock your phone and hold it near the participating merchant's card reader
  • You will see payment confirmation right on your phone
  • In participating apps, checking out is as easy as selecting Google Pay.

Make your Carver card your default payment card for Google Pay today -  Select your Carver card in the Google Pay wallet and just click “set as default card”.

Please keep in mind the following about Google Pay:  For security purposes, your device does not send your actual card number with your payment. Instead, Google Pay uses a virtual account number to represent your account information.

  • First, download the app from the Google Play store or check to see if it is already installed on your phone.
  • Open the app and follow the on screen prompts.
  • Samsung Pay works on Android devices running Android 9.0 or higher, with NFC or MST support, a Samsung account and a registered fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN

To use Samsung Pay in stores:

  • Look for the contactless symbol at the register
  • Unlock your phone choose PIN or IRIS and then enter the required security information. Or if you have fingerprint security set up, simply place your finger on your phone's fingerprint scanner. or fingerprint and hold it near the participating merchant's card reader

What is a digital wallet?

Digital wallets are applications on a mobile device which allow you to store your payment card information, and then use your mobile device to make a payment instead of using your card.

Which digital wallets can Carver cards be enrolled into?

Depending on the device used by the cardholder, cards can be enrolled into Samsung Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

What do I do if I get a replacement credit or debit card with a new number?

Follow the instructions within the digital wallet to delete your old card and then add your replacement card as the new card.

Is my device eligible?

Apple Pay - To use Apple Pay make sure your device is running iOS 8.1 or higher.

Google Pay – To use Google pay you must have an NFC-enabled Android device running Android OS 4.4 (KitKat) or higher.

Samsung Pay - Samsung Pay is only available on select phone and watch models. To use Samsung Pay Samsung Pay on your smart watch with a non-Samsung phone, you must update to Android 6.0 or higher.

 Does it cost anything additional for me to use a digital wallet?

No, there is no additional cost from Carver Bank to use your card in the wallet. You require an active data plan or Wi-Fi connection to add your card to digital wallet. Based on your mobile plan and network, additional message and/or data charges may apply.

What if I lose my mobile device?

Please contact us and we will disable the card on your missing device.
